About Allen Custom Drills

We, Allen Custom Drills owner operators Craig & Deb, sunk our teeth into the business together in 2010. Craig had returned back to New Zealand from travelling to Australia, Canada and the UK gathering working experience from farmers abroad and learning about international innovations and machinery in the agricultural industry.
Craig's father and originator of Allen Custom Drills modified an imported drill to better suit the land conditions Mid Canterbury had on offer and to be more versatile to accommodate the contracting side of things Dave did. As the farm was sold, buildings were bought and one of which was the home of Allen Custom Drills, where further developments came into action and the first official, Allen Custom designed Air Seeder Drill was made.
Today, the company is proud to still be based in Ashburton, Mid Canterbury, NZ, situated in a much larger workshop than day 1, there are Air Seeder Drills in high demand being distributed to Australia and New Zealand. Craig is Sole Designer, Deb is Business Manager, and many more are apart of our strong Allen Custom Drills Team working together to manufacture strong, reliable and efficient Drills.
Over the years many variations of Air Seeder Drills have been produced and had great success for many clients. With these variations we have developed 5 base models of drills, all easily modifiable and affordable, to customize for each individuals requirements.
We offer many options, we have Contour Drills, Packer Drills, Tyne Drills, Economic Drills ad Heavy Duty Drills available. Each have a specific purpose and a designed to cover many ranges of terrain.
We are passionate about what we do, we thrive off the business relationships we develop with clients, to see that we achieved in assisting their success in farming or contracting, is the reward for us. We work closely with the client to ensure they are getting what they need and within their budget. Some clients come through and have their own interpretations from their own experiences and knowledge and it is a welcomed challenge to make their suggestions apart of the manufacturing process on their very own Drill.
All Allen Custom Drills are designed to be simple and accurate, easy to maintain and of course cost effective. We ensure all parts are readily available and, come the off season it is simple to give the Drill a once over, maintenance is very minimal and not costly compared to many others on the market.
